My mother worked for the IRS answering taxpayer questions on the phone for 25 years. This also included TV and radio spots. She woke me up at 6am once to listen to her on the radio. Possible child abuse but I didn't realize it at the time.
I'm a bookkeeper (in Canada) and I feel that sketch in my soul.. chained to my spreadsheets, numbers and data! The CRA in Canada is mindnumbing to deal with lol 🫠😂
Exactly! Yesterday I sat down for some tax reckoning myself. I did so much “figuring” and calculating and referencing sections in chapters of other documents and then one tiny line on the worksheet had the audacity of telling me to calculate my alternative minimum tax - I can’t even convey what madness that worksheet entailed. 🫠

Sounds like 25 years of hard labor. For both of you. Ouch.

Oh wow. Sorry to hear that but happy the sketch resonated. Ever try drawing? It's a nice antidote to numbers.
I thoroughly enjoyed the drawing and the sarcasm.
Please write more tax advice so I can write my sub off!
okay but don't blame me if you're audited.
I feel your pain, Orli... sigh...
