Goery's a Fave, I have a a copy of TS Eliot's 'Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats' Illustrated by Edward Gorey.

I fact I like it so much I scanned it into a PDF and have a copy on my iPhone!!

I don't why but it's comforting to know that other people go to the trouble of scanning drawings to keep them close by. Thanks for sharing.

Being a Cat Lover.. I attempted to memorize some of the best poems.... And I always picture Gorey's characters when I recite each of them...

I also named a number of my cats over the years from this very tome.. Growltiger Buster Jones Rumpleteaser and Mungo Jerry, and Rum Tum Tugger.

What a magnificent, macabre tribute to Edward Gorey your drawing is, Orli.

Thank you so much!

I've always loved his work all my life but never heard him speak. Interesting...but he's so wrong about the female actors. I'll give him a pass on that in exchange for all his delicious dark humor.

I'm with you on both. Nobody's perfect ;)... my chihuahua's pretty close though.

Thank you, Orli, for introducing me to a very eccentric and interesting character. I was not acquainted with Mr. Gorey.
